How old is too old?

Not the age of the person, but the age of the portfolio piece.

As an individual, or as an agency, how long do you think that examples of your previous work should stay in your portfolio? 2, 3, 5 years? Longer?

I'd like to know what you think. Feel free to comment away.

I think it depends on the quality of the piece, not so much the age. Fact is, this whole year you may do sub-par work because that's what your superior (or your client) wants (or thinks is good).

That's a very good point. So if a piece is of a high enough quality, is it still "portfolio-worthy" several years later?

Based on the kind of work we've been doing lately, man I hope so.
