Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year and a wonderful holiday season. I know I did. Took a little time away from the blog (and most computer-related things come to think of it), and ended it with a whirlwind trip to Glendale Arizona yesterday. I'm still waiting for my voice to catch the return flight.

In the mean time, its a new year, and a whole new round of news, commentary and anything else marketing-related that I happen to come across.

AHHH! Brian you forgot a very important element about your trip to AZ!!!!!

Do you know what it is???

nope.

not it either!

It was the huge marketing impact that game not only and quite obviously had for BSU, but the huge marketing impact it had for BOISE and Idaho in General.

As you are fully aware, we are having a surge "influx" if you will. A surge of Pinta's, Niña's and Santa María's (other states) coming to the the new world (idaho). On a quest for that new life (opportunity).

Ok maybe that was drastic, but you get the point...

Point being, along with the current influx we will now be seeing a much more drastic interest and impact. good for biz!!

We will be seeing large corps, small business, and even orgs moving in to claim their stake as well.

Copper Salmon just branched here 01/01/07. Not a real big deal at all, but goes along with my point.

A National Sports team (even college) provides credibility and security to the 'steptakers', & no I am not a sports fan. :)

Interesting to watch it unfold, but what do I know.

I am just Anon!

Hasta!

oh yeah P.S. kinda mean with the IN - OUT post. ????

Hey Anonymous,

Believe me, the "marketing impact" that the game had did not go unnoticed. I'm just not one to jump on the "I think so too" bandwagon.

You are definitely right, though -- it will be interesting to watch it all unfold. There's a fine line, however, between capitalizing on the exposure that something like this brings and being perceived as opportunistic.

very true!

Too bad really, for the opportunistic folks! "They usually eat the red ones first"
